After a glorious win at the NPA British finals, EQ Nutrition athlete Steven Howarth traveled with the British team to the UIBBN World championships in Barcelona, competing in the Masters heavyweight division. Steven looked improved from his phenomenal British showing to take the title and be crowned world champion in 2010. EQ Nutrition wishes to congratulate Steve on a tremendous year!
Due to the success of last year’s event, The Natural Drug Tested British Open Strongman Competition is back for this summer bigger and better at Paradise Wildlife Park on the 28th August 2010.
EQ Nutrition Ltd have partnered with Monster Gym, Ricoh and Paradise Wildlife Park to put on this great event we are expecting several thousand spectators and have 20 world class athletes competing.
Combining feats of strength such as racing with sixteen stone in weight within either hand, pressing weights upwards of eighteen stone overhead and flipping tyres weighing forty seven stone as many times as possible against the clock.
This competition was born from a desire of many drug tested bodybuilders to compete in a fair strength event that is supervised and tested.
The day will not only see great athletes showing their physical prowess, as many take part events will be available for spectators to have a go and see whether they can match old time strongmen by tearing telephone directories, bending nails and blowing up hot water bottles for the chance to win prizes as well as entrance to the zoo.

Jordan Arthur arrived at the ISF World Schools Games carrying a slight groin injury, however he came home in the finals in a lifetime best of 10.67 - improving his summer mark by five one-hundredths of a second - which takes him to the top of the UK U17 100m rankings for 2009.
